A lot of people try out GMS because they’re scared of code, and Unity probably seems more intimidating. But a lot of people just let their subscriptions keep running, so for them it probably is a bad deal.Īs for why they would do this, I’m guessing someone ran the numbers and determined they would make more money, even with the backlash. Someone who was really disciplined with their subscriptions could probably save money using the “only sub during the months you actually need an export”.
